their own police and fire departments and a utility service, as well as wonderful educational opportunities for the children of the community.

The Police department is comprised of Administrative and Patrol divisions,traffic enforcement/DUI emphasis, K-9, marine patrol, and bicycle patrol, narcotics and investigations.

The Poulsbo Police Department is staffed by 17 commissioned officers, 20 reserve officers, 3 administrative support staff, and 20 citizen volunteers.

Municipal Court: The City's Municipal Court handles traffic citations, misdemeanors, and gross misdemeanors occuring within the City limits.

Parks and Recreation: The main duties of the Parks and Recreation department are to develop new city parks and to provide recreation programs and services to City residents.
